As it relates to me, music can offer one of the greatest means of self discovery and contemplation. While recognizing that what I find significant in the music I listen to is relative to my subjective interpretation of it, I still would find some sense of fulfillment in sharing it with others. Thus, a large portion of this blog's content will be music related.

I also plan on providing comments on films, readings of existential philosophy, political science, history, ect. as well as anything else that raises my interest. The goal here is to create some kind of dialog with others, as it is an essential part of the totality of the human experience. I would also hope that those who come here looking for music, might find something else eye opening that they might not have come across otherwise.

Any copyrighted materials that I provide a means to acquire here are not intended to disrespect the creators (quite the opposite; in recognizing the personal connection I've made to it). I must also make clear that while I will offer materials here for free, I advocate supporting the creators if you too have found satisfaction in their work. However, I will take down any links by request of the creators/copyright owners.

A great offering from this still relatively unknown group from Hungary. Sear Bliss offers what could possibly be one of the greatest symphonic black metal releases from this century with Forsaken Symphony. They tread on new ground by liberally making use of some sort of horn instrument, which integrates very well with the rest of the mix to create a very thick ubiquitous sound. The music itself feels very inspired by the romantic movement of the 18th and 19th centuries, or at least could somehow be related to it.

A very impressive release. Expect to see more from Sear Bliss in the future of this blog.

Recommended for Fans of Hellveto, Nokturnal Mortum, Emperor, ect.
